Explant alien creature

This is one of many illustrations I created in 2025 for the project ¨Gennexia¨, a tabletop game about surviving in a hostile alien environment.

On the planet Theon-8, the Explants are humble scavengers who chose to keep their distance from other aliens, relying on the surrounding environment for everything they need by exploiting the imperfections in its design. In some places they became the pinnacle of evolution, while elsewhere they were forced to take a more modest role or enter into fierce conflict with other equally intelligent inhabitants.
